Dubrovnik
Upon your arrival you will be met by your representative transfer to the hotel in Dubrovnik. Free time to refresh from the flight and if you wish to explore city on your own. At the dinner time, you will be welcomed by your tour manager.
Breakfast. Morning transfera to the Old Town of Dubrovnik (listed as UNESCO world’s heritage since 1979) for a walking tour with local guide where you will see magnificent citadel surrounded by well-preserved stone walls which were build to protect the city and its citizens from foreign invaders. Crossing through the famous street called Stradun, you will see Franciscan monastery, Sponza Palace, Rector’s Palace, the Assumption Cathedral, Onofrio’s fountains, Church of Saint Blaise and many others. After history tour we will take you to Panorama driving tour, where you will get the best view of Dubrovnik from the summit of Mount Srdj.
In the early afternoon we will continue our journey towards city of Stolac in Bosnia and Herzegovina where we will see medieval Stećci tombstones that dot the fields and learn about the town’s tumultuous past. Continuing to village of Blagaj where we will discover the source of river Buna where we will have lunch and enjoy local cuisine. In the early evening we will arrive to Medjugorje, one of the worldwide shrines of Europe where we will have a dinner and stay overnight.
Breakfast and wisit to Medjugorje Marian shrines. Our journey will continue to Mostar where we will have lunch in the old city and will meet up with our local guide who will take us on a walking tour of Old Town, place heavily influenced by the Ottoman Era. The guide will take us to the most remarkable symbol of the city, the Old Bridge over Neretva River-single arch stone bridge which is a monument under UNESCO protection. We will also see Cejvan Cehaj Mosque (the oldest mosque in Mostar). The Old Bazaar named Kujundziluk, among other main monuments. In the late afternoon we will continue our journey to Sarajevo. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
Sarajevo capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina, melting point of different cultures, religions and architectures. Ottoman era architecture along side with Austro-Hungarian one. Our local guide will show you the main sights of the Old Town called Bas Carsija, including Latin Bridge where the Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austro-Hungarian Empire and his wife were assassinated, Cathedral, Gazi Husrev-Bey Mosque, built during Ottoman period, Bursa Bezistan-among other important monuments. You will have lunch one of local restaurant with authentic Bosnian cuisine. After lunch you will be taken to City museum and Tunnel museum where you will get insight about the time of the war from a different perspective.
Free time and in the late afternoon we will continue to Plitvice. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
After breakfast we will visit Plitvice lakes National park, listed as UNESCO world’s heritage since 1979. This nature wonder encompasses of 16 lakes which are connected throughout 92 waterfalls, surrounded by rich vegetation and large forest making it a perfect habitat for variety of flora and fauna. After the walking tour, you will have free time to enjoy lunch at local Plitvice Ethno restaurant. After lunch we will continue to drive further south which will bring us to our next destination city of Trogir. Upon arrival our guide will take us on a walking tour of the Old Town which is located on a small island connected to the mainland. We will see the Cathedral of St Lawrence, the Tower Clock, the city Hall, remains of Old Town and other sights. In the early evening we will continue towards Split for our dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
Breakfast and we will meet with our local guide for downtown history tour where we will visit the most notable monuments: Diocletian Palace, the Cathedral of St. Domain’s, the Peristyle and Jupiter’s tempie amongst other interesting attractions and one of them definitely being famous Riva (waterfront promenade). Shortly after that we will experience the Dalmatian style of life by taking a boat tour to the beautiful island of Brac with authentic local lunch included. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Makarska or Makarska riviera.
Breakfast in Makarska and we will depart to Dubrovnik where you will enjoy your free time and get ready for airport.
